On October 24, 2014 members of the Waterloo Wolves Midget
AAA Alumni took part in the inaugural Hockey Helps the Home-
less Tournament at RIM Park to raise money for local homeless
shelters.
Wolves alumni (pictured here, l to r: Alex Spark, Ben Poort,
Shawn Bechtloff, and Coach Mike Payne) displayed skills and
sportsmanship while skating alongside and against NHL Alumni.
Well done Wolves!
At Hockey Helps the Homeless they are working towards a future
where every Canadian has a place to call ―home‖. The money
raised through the fantasy tournament helps to fund the work of
35 homeless support agencies that share the goal of ending home-
lessness.
A special thanks to Willy Huber and Piller’s for helping to make
this special event happen.
Stay tuned for future emails and notices as we plan for more Wolves Alumni participation in 2015. Our goal for next year is to ice a full
team of Wolves Alumni and coaches! Once a Wolf, Always a Wolf!
Coach Mike Payne
