Client Side Investor Relations

We don’t Engage in Investor Relations, we make Investor Relations Engaging

The evolution of Investor Relations, Public Relations and Communications

What we feel will become a significant part of the process moving forward

Investor Relations has remained

fundamentally unchanged for the last

20 years or so…

1996 was…

The year I became involved in the

stock market…

Started my first business as I was

preparing to retire from active duty in

the US Navy.

The Internet has changed

EVERYTHING…

The web has evolved exponentially

along with other technology.

Our entire existence is dependent on

the Internet and speed of light

communications.

Tom Allinder, President, IR3Point0, LLC http://ir3point0.com tom@ir3point0.com

Today’s Investor Relations efforts still

occur from a centralized hub (The

firm or agency)

IR is predominantly a “Do it for me”

(DIFM) process.

IR sends investors messages using

outbound marketing…

The IR Firm is THE centralized HUB

for managing products, distribution of

information and communications on

BEHALF of the Client Company…

IR Firm(on behalf of the client company)

Tom Allinder, President, IR3Point0, LLC http://ir3point0.com tom@ir3point0.com

Today’s Investor has tuned out

messaging and other outbound

efforts by IR firms…

Investors have become savvy and

distrusting of IR, especially

aggressive IR and Stock Promotion.

Investors have tools to filter out these

messaging efforts.

Tom Allinder, President, IR3Point0, LLC http://ir3point0.com tom@ir3point0.com

They are using SEARCH and are

doing a lot more of their own

research.

They are looking for engaging

content.

They are looking increasingly toward

the Companies themselves for this

content.

By in large, IR entities are not

addressing Internet and Investor

Trends over time…

Social Media has become very

important.

The Client Company Website is

EXTREMELY important.

Video, Images are increasing

RAPIDLY in popularity.

Tom Allinder, President, IR3Point0, LLC http://ir3point0.com tom@ir3point0.com

IR must evolve to a more Client Side

approach or incorporate IR Support

on the client side…

Website Design, Maintenance and

Management.

Social Media Design, Maintenance

and Management.

Marketing must include (much) more

visual information

ALL ON THE CLIENT SIDE

Tom Allinder, President, IR3Point0, LLC http://ir3point0.com tom@ir3point0.com

IR of the Future, aside from a strong

knowledge of compliance, and public

companies will be composed of

content marketing expertise, search

marketing expertise and many other

skill sets that are not considered

today.

These skills will NOT replace IR but

will be a strong augmenting force

and absolutely necessary for success

going forward.

Tom Allinder, President, IR3Point0, LLC http://ir3point0.com tom@ir3point0.com

IR Firms and Entities must,

themselves become Market

Leaders…

Walk the Walk…

Be Disruptive and Solve a Problem

Client Side Marketing Concepts

Company Website must stand out and include INBOUND

Marketing tools

Social Media platforms must be social and interactive; NOT

broadcasting platforms

Video and Images must be used for products, services and

INVESTORS

Tom Allinder, President, IR3Point0, LLC http://ir3point0.com tom@ir3point0.com

Company Website

With some companies, requires a complete redesign and content management system

(CMS)

Expertly search engine optimized

Bold imagery

Exciting and visual INVESTOR PAGE with images, video

NEWSROOM – VERY IMPORTANT

Calls to Action (CTA)

Tom Allinder, President, IR3Point0, LLC http://ir3point0.com tom@ir3point0.com

Social Media…

Use best practices to connect with

influencers, stimulate conversation and

buzz…

Share engaging and valuable content…

not ME, ME, ME!

Link to curated content on website. 5-10

posts per day on social media.

Never, EVER buy likes or followers –

Investors (and others) will see you as a

scam or a cheat – loss of credibility.
