This book is dedicated to Mike Ripp, my cousin who was a Forest Ranger at Wyalusing State Park–a highly immaculate Indian ledge lookout at the confluence of the Wisconsin and Missis-sippi rivers. MIke was the only person I ever knew who said he wanted to be a Forest Ranger and flat out did it!
