Cloud Providers:Partners who choose a business model of
owning the cloud assets, datacenter, NOC
and offer Cisco Powered Cloud Services
(XaaS) to customers. Cloud Providers do
not usually sell any hardware or software
to the customer. They may choose to sell
their Cisco Powered Cloud Services
either direct to customers or indirect
through resellers. This model does
require significant capital investment.
Cloud Builders:Partners whose primary business model
is to build private clouds for an end-user
customer or a public cloud for a Cloud
Provider. The Cloud Builder provides the
hardware, software and professional
services to build the cloud but the builder
does NOT own the cloud at the end of the
transaction. The cloud assets are owned
by the end user customer or
Cloud Provider.
Cloud Services Resellers:Partners who see the opportunity or
demand from their customers for Cisco
Powered Cloud Services (XaaS) but do
not want to make the capital investments
needed to be a Cloud Provider
themselves. These partners instead
choose to resell or white label other
providers’ services. This requires very
little capital investment but the margins
are commensurate with the level
of investment.
