Principal’s Report
Student Reports
Teachers are currently extremely busy completing final
assessments and preparing the Semester Two reports.
Reports will be sent home during Week 9 and parents
are most welcome to make an appointment to discuss
them with their child’s teacher. Well done to all of our
students who have all made wonderful personal
progress and had put in such effort and dedication to
their learning throughout the year. Once again our
reports will reflect student achievements as well as
future learning goals.
2021 School Captains
Yesterday we heard from our 2021 school captain
nominees. The Year 5 students have been busily
preparing their speeches and did an amazing job at
presenting these in a new format via the zoom platform.
Speeches were live streamed to classrooms and to
parents of the nominees. We certainly have a wonderful
group to select from. Our captains will be announced at
Presentation Day.
Presentation Day
Our very special award ceremony will be held on
Wednesday 9 December at Junee North Public School
commencing at 12:30pm. This is a chance for our
students to be recognised for their efforts, contributions
and achievements throughout the year. Due to COVID-
19 restrictions in relation to the number of people who
can attend an inside gathering & enforcing the 4 square
metre rule we have made some slight changes this year
in the way we conduct our award ceremony and live
stream it to families to view via the online zoom webinar
platform. We were mindful in our decision making that
we maintained a whole school approach and not be in
a position to limit the students and families who could
attend. Making the change to a Presentation Day allows
all students to attend and participate. A zoom link will
be sent out to all families which can be accessed on any
device including mobile phones. We appreciate your
understanding and support with the changes to our end
of year events.
Year 6 Fun Farewell Activity Week
This year, due to COVID -19 restrictions and the
timeline in which guidelines change, Year 6 will have a
Farewell fun week in the last week of school instead of
a Year 6 Farewell dinner. Year 6 has been very involved
in the planning of this fun week and are very excited
about the challenges against the teachers – including a
water fight against the teachers! As part of the fun
week Year 6 will have a formal lunch at school –
abiding by the COVID – 19 food restrictions we have
organsised The Crossing Motel to cater for this event
with single served, pre-packaged amazing lunches for
the students. Unlike most years, the school will cover
the cost of this lunch for the students. A note will be
sent home this week, informing families about this Year
6 Fun Farewell Activity week.
Online Enrolments
NSW Department of Education is excited to announce
that they will be are rolling out the new Online

Before & After School Care Survey
Dear parents
We want to offer families more flexibility with their
work commitments and child care arrangements and
to create more opportunities across the whole
community. Having Out of School Hours Care available
at local schools is a great way to achieve this.
As part of the NSW Government’s $120 million Before
and After School Care (BASC) commitment, parents at
all NSW schools were recently invited to complete a
Have Your Say survey. The survey asked parents to tell
us how they are using Out of School Hours Care, how
much it costs them, whether they plan to keep using it,
and what difficulties they experience in accessing it.
The survey results have helped us to better understand
the needs of families and what’s important to them.
We are now asking all parents to complete a quick
follow-up survey by Friday 27 November 2020. You
can access the survey at
https://surveys.education.nsw.gov.au/s3/OSHCParentS
urvey. This information will help us to target the rollout
of more before Out of School Hours Care services in
the right areas
If your child does not require Out of School Hours care,
we ask that you please still complete the first section of
this survey as it gives us important information about
the level of demand at your school.
