external excellence programs such as six sigma go hand-in-hand with a high level of internal excellence”

• Prof. Pradeep B. Deshpande has explained to us that Dabbawalas possess a high level of internal excellence.

• Dabbawalas themselves did not know that their high level of internal excellence as a consequence of their bhakti was hugely responsible for their exemplary performance. They were just doing their job and they knew they had to do it well. The Dabbawalas are "Varkaris" from Pune region in Maharashtra.”
