WATER MEANS LIFEIf we are going to continue to pollute the water we won't have any water to drink, trees are going to die.

What can we do to keep our water clean? We have to save water at home (we close the tap while we brush our teeth, we can save water

when having a shower and we try not to use a lot of soap and other things that pollute water).

We can save water in the garden (we use rain water instead of drinking water).

It is important we don't throw away packages, plastic bags and bottles, tins or cans. Even if we throw

something on the ground it still pollutes the water because the wind blows those things into the sea,

rivers, lakes.

The rivers can clean by

themselves with microorganisms

and algae, but they can clean just

organic things not inorganic

rubbish and the problem is that

there are more and more

inorganic rubbish in the rivers so

they can't clean by themselves.

In each country there are many wastewater treatment plants. They collect dirty water and they

clean it. So when groundwater goes to the sea it is practically very clean. But the problem is that

there are not enough of wastewater treatment plants. In some countries the water flows directly

into the sea. And this happens is the 21st century!

of it even more.
