Helps assess if a technology is appropriate or not

Helps to analyse, plan and monitor introduction process

Involves all relevant stakeholders in different phases of assessment process

Triggers direct exchange between sector actors

First stage: ◦Selection of of target area and of key actors,

fieldwork to collect data for screening on “need” and “applicability”

Second stageFieldwork for assessment indicators: Financial Social Environmental Legal/institutional Knowledge/skills Technology
