LOCATIONOnly 15 minutes’ drive from the international airport and situated in the heart of Luang Prabang, UNESCO World Heritage site, Villa Maly is within walking distance of the main historical attractions and places of interest.

CONCEPTThe hotel’s “Art Déco” style is prevalent throughout with an original blend of French and British colonial furnishings. The ambiance is residential, as if one was staying in a private villa. Hence the slogan “A Residence of Charm”. The central building was formally the private residence of former nobility, its original splendour derived from the 1920’s, evokes a sense of the French past.

ROOMSThere are seven low rise buildings housing the 33 rooms, each with its own special view of the garden and pool. Every building is appropriately named after �owers found profusely in Lao.

SUPERIOR ROOMS (26 rooms)Including 10 twin rooms and 16 double roomsEach one are subtly arranged to incorporate the time-honoured Laotian architecture with an essence of the colonial past. Wooden parquet �oors, four-poster beds, mahogany armories and classic fans, surrounded with ornately decorated walls with rich hues of colours and textures, produce an exuberant luxurious ambiance suitable for the privileged. All rooms feature en-suite bathroom and come equipped with modern amenities including a rain shower. Our Superior rooms have an average of 24 sqm living area.

DELUXE ROOMS (7 rooms)Our Deluxe rooms average from 37 sqm upwards in size. With king-size beds, wonderfully subdued colours and ample natural light, the deluxe rooms rank as the Villa’s most exquisite accommodation. Three of our Deluxe rooms occupy space in the home at the heart of Villa Maly, now known as Plumeria but once the residence of Princess Khampieng and Prince Khamtan and their children. The furnishings in each of the rooms was specially designed for Villa Maly and crafted by artisans in Saigon. Desks, bedsteads, wardrobes and tables, each adds to the singular ambiance of Villa Maly.

Poolside DiningPrepare your own dinner like Lao people do; grill the meat, cook the fresh vegetables and enjoy your evening with friends or family experiencing the traditional Sindad hotpot!

THE MOUHOT BAR welcomes you from 10:00 to 23:00 with refreshing cocktails to savour around our pool or to lift a glass in the memory of the bar's namesake, Henri Mouhot.
