DESCRIPTION

Have you ever heard the statement “we don’t have time for UX in this project!”? Or perhaps you thought that you need to take some shortcuts to launch the design quickly? I thought so. The trade off: User Experience vs. Speed is one of the most popular misconceptions about the design. Don’t be ashamed. At UXPin we’re building the UX Design application and we’re still going through it over and over again. The temptation to optimize the product development process is huge, although as Twin Peaks taught us “the owls are not what they seem” and things can work in a completely twisted way. Eliminating UX activities may not result in a higher overall speed and may lead to unfortunate results. In the following article I’ll try to explain the issue and show you the highway through the meanders of the design process.
