– Often young adults use the internet to express themselves without regard to what other people think

– If these expressions of self are not anonymous they can be damaging to your job search

• You never know who is reading about you online– Employers have become very savvy at using the internet to their

advantage to gather information about job candidates

• Post inappropriate comments or statuses

• Complain about your current job

• Post conflicting information to your resume

• Cyber stalk (political or negative comments)
