Towards global leadership in environmental

sustainability

Promote excellence in environmentally-sustainable practices throughout the Faculty.

Provide resources on environmentally-sustainable practices to the Faculty.

Facilitate implementation of environmentally–sustainable practices throughout the Faculty.

Establish the Faculty of Medicine as a leader in environmentally–sustainable practices locally, nationally and internationally.

Where We Stand:

Goal: Minimize our negative environmental impact

Strategy: Reduce our energy use and decrease our waste output

Implementation Approaches: Reduce Reuse Recycle Rethink!

Conserve electricity:

Turn the lights OFF when not in use

Turn equipment OFF when not in use

Turn computers OFF when not in use

Conserve electricity:

Waste less: CUPS - Obtain a reusable

coffee mug and water bottle

PAPER - Invest in a double-sided-page printer for your lab and have this as the default setting on your printer
