WELCOME TO THE JAMES EARL CARTER LIBRARY

In this module, you will learn a bit about the library and where

you can turn for information and help. If nothing else, please

remember that if you ever have questions, you can always ask a

librarian!

Library Hours

Sunday 2 pm - 10 pm

Monday-Thursday 8 am - 10 pm

Friday 8 am - 3 pm

Saturday 9 am - 5 pm

Hours listed are for Fall and Spring semester classes.

Exceptions will be posted at entrance to the Library and on the Library's website.

Audio-Visual Materials: Overnight

Reserve Materials: 2 Hours In-Library Use Only

Popular DVDs 7 Days

Interlibrary Loan: Dependent upon lending library

Overdue and Lost Book Charges

General Books: $.25 per Day

Reserve Materials: $.25 per Hour

Lost or Severely Damaged Materials:

Replacement Cost of Material + $20.00 Processing Fee. ($20.00 refundable if material found and returned)

Popular DVDs $.50 per Day

Interlibrary LoansFlat fee of $25 for books returned 14 days past due date.

Using GALILEO Off CampusTo use GALILEO off campus, you MUST have the current password.There are three ways to get the GALILEO password:

You can get the password by calling the Library at 229-931-2266

You can get the password by stopping by the Library Service Desk.

You can get the password by following the instructions on the next slide.

Using GALILEO Off Campus1) From the Library homepagehttp://www.gsw.edu/Library, look underneath the link for GALILEO and you will see a link that says Obtain the GALILEO Password.

2) Follow the directions on the next screen to retrieve the off campus GALILEO password.Remember: The password changes each semester, so be certain you have the current password. If you have questions, please contact the Library.
