TopTipsforthefestiveseason1. Carry love in your heart – Make December 'love’ month instead of ‘frantic, crazy, chaotic’ month. A few times a day notice how ‘loving and kind’ you are being in that moment.

2. Mantra“Theworldisnotgoingtoendjustbecausetheyearis…”AmItryingto…tieupwork,fixthehouse/yard,attendtofamilyneeds,visitfriends,buypresents…allinthefinalfewweeksoftheyear?Whatcanbe‘removed,reducedorrecycled’fromthelist?

3. Pay it forward – This is the time of year to see all of humanity as family. Give to others in need.

4. ConsciousChristmas–AmIrushingaroundthedepartmentstoreorstoppingtonoticeachild’sgleeatseeingSanta?

5. A normal family – This is the perfect time of year to acknowledge ‘we are all a little crazy’ and our family is no whackier than the next. Remember it helps to practice forgiveness and tolerance.

6. Indulgeyoursenses–Thisisnotthemonthtotryanewdiet.Experiencefoodwithallyoursenses:smell,taste,touchetc.Youwillenjoyitmoreandeatwhatyourbodyneeds.

7. Remember the ‘oxygen mask ’ goes on you first then help others. Look after yourself in tiny ways e.g. Stop, close your eyes and breathe. Try the mantra “relax” or “all will be well” on the out breath.

8. Mistakeshappen–It’snormaltomessthingsupatthistimeofyear–thewrongorforgottenpresent,prawnsnotpickedup,saladdressingmissing?Forgiveyourself.

9. Presents vs. Presence – Ticking off the task list or really ‘being with’ the people you love. At your festivities, take a moment to look around and appreciate what you see.

10. AstheIndianproverbsays–Itwillallbeallrightintheend,andifit’snotallright,it’snottheend!
