Integrated MathUnit Question: How can variation of data be represented in the real world?

Students are studying how various functions are affected by the changing of the intercepts, variables, and slope / variation. Students explore the basics of exponential growth and decay through the exploration of various powers using negative, fractional,

and zero for an exponent.

World ArtUnit Question: How do we send a message with

pictures?

Students learn how to apply the basic elements and principles of design while exploring new skills and techniques in order to convey the desired

message or feeling through their personal production.

World LiteratureUnit Question:  What is a hero?

Students analyze literature by identifying common archetypes while identifying elements of the Heroes Journey.  Students synthesize the

concepts by writing a Heroes Journey story and an essay.
