• My time line is about what lead up to the revolutionary war

1765

• King George 3 supported the idea of taxing the colonist. The colonist thought it was unfair the colonist benefited from protection of British soldiers they thought the colonist should pay the army's cost to achieve the goal they passed the stamp act.

1767

• Parliament passed the town shed acts, causing colonists to boycott British products.

1770

• Boston was ready to explode when angry colonist surrounded. Huge white and his soldiers panicked then fired in the crowd killing five people.

1773

Britain punished the people of Boston .Boston was closed no ships would be able to come or go until the people of Boston paid for the tea they destroyed

1774

• Colonial leaders met at the first continental congress in Philadelphia to decide how to oppose the intolerable acts

1775 • Paul revere told the colonist that

British were coming to Lexington and concord the next day the revolution began with Lexington and concord

1776

• The declaration of independence was signed and general was surprised the Hessian mercenaries at Trenton new, jersey and capture the town.

• The American victory at Saratoga new York was a turning point of the war

• Short of supplies the continental army suffered through winter at valley forge Pennsylvania
