a program provided by our school district. It is a management system for all students to create, organize and save many types of documents and job or university applications, along with seeing posted notices about updated university and career news. They can explore their personality type, career interests, and post-high school educational opportunities including colleges and trade or technical schools.

For College-bound students, Naviance streamlines the entire application process from selecting campuses to sending applications and applying for scholarships. Parents/guardians can use Naviance to review their student’s college selections and the application process.

This program was designed with the ability for schools to personalize the content to meet their own school requirements. Our school’s Portfolio Committee voted to use this tool for the Portfolio requirements for 9th through 12th grade students. For the 12th graders this year, during their Senior Exhibition, they will show the panel what they have accomplished concerning their requirements in the Naviance program. They will also present a 3-ring binder with past choice works from their previous grades.

The Naviance Navigator Link can be found on the PHHS front page under the student menu tab. To begin using Family Connection click on the word “Naviance”.

This is what a student will see when the Naviance link

is opened:

A student’s username & password is the same as their school’s

netbook log in. A student can ask any teacher for this information.

This is what a student will see after signing in.

The next slide will show the rest of this page that is cut off on the right side.

The list of pages in the right column are links that are valuable to students, especially seniors.

Click on “PHHS Students”, just above this box, to see updated messages from the counselors, teachers, and/or administrators.

This is the first site you see after logging in.
