So many

“The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe”
This debut novel written by Mary Simses captured me with
the picturesque setting in a quaint coastal town in Maine. The
characters are so lively and entertaining that I found myself
chuckling at the mishaps of Ellen Branford. She’s a high powered
attorney determined to honor her grandmother’s dying wish. It’s a
timeless story of love and family, appearances and fate, taking
time to smell the roses and simplicity. This is a book you can
read in one sitting although you just don’t want it to end.

Monstrumologist Series 1. The Monstrumologist 2. The Curse of Wendigo 3. The Isle of Blood 4. The Final Descent
Yancy writes for young adults, but his plots are interesting
and fun. The heroes just fall into the job of saving the
world. Captivating and fast moving. A good read for all.
His most recent novel is “The 5th Wave,” which is the first
book in a new series.
Teddy Ruzak Series 1. The Highly Effective Detective 2. Highly Effective Detective Goes to the Dogs 3. The Highly Effective Detective Plays the Fool 4. The Highly Effective Detective Crosses the Line

OCTOBER IS FAMILY HISTORY MONTH
It’s hard to believe, but it’s October again! And, once again, it‘s Family History Month!
Since 2001, when Congress passed a resolution introduced by Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah, October has
been know as Family History Month. It’s a good month for this recognition, as many genealogists are ready to get
back into research mode after the busy summer months.
Here are some suggestions to help you get back into family history research mode.
 Update your family tree
 Interview a family member
Join a genealogical or historical society
 Read a genealogy blog
 Google your ancestors
Search for your ancestors in ancestry.com and familysearch.org for new records that may have
been added since the last time you searched for them
Check your library for new genealogy and history books that could help your research
Go on a family research vacation
These are just a few suggestions to help you recharge your family history research.
