Then he heard of this place where you could get rid of the heavy load ...

He tried to get rid of the heavy load but could not do it himself.

Jesus took the heavy load from his shoulders

Thankful for his lightened load he wanted to set out on his way again when he heard these words

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:29-30)

He was a bit unhappy about this and said so...

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. (Matthew 16:24)

But Jesus... “I am very thankful for what you have done for me but I did

not sign up for this”

...he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. (Matthew 10:38)

I want to bless you and I want you to live in My grace

Because he loved the Lord he did spend time with the Word of God
