Inaddition,thegroundboastsagoodsized,ifsmallinlength,grandstandandplentyofstandingroomdownthesideofthepitch.Behindthenorthendisasmallcoverwhilstatthesouthendthecoverextendsacrossthefulllengthoftheterrace.Theclubclaimtoservethe“BestBurgerinEnglishFootball”fromtheneweateryinthecornerofthepitch,nextdoortotheclubshop,bothallowingyoutowatchtheactionwhilstwaitingtobeserved.

FromthegeneraldirectionofLewes,headwestontheA27thentheA259.ProceedalongBexhillRoad,turningleftatasetoftrafficlightsontotheB2092HarleyShuteRoad.Gostraightaheadataminiroundaboutcontinuestraightaheadatthemainroundaboutthatfollows(signpostedHollington)intoIronlatchAvenue,whichleadsintoBlackmanAvenue.Followthisroadthroughtwosetsoftrafficlights,continuingstraightaheadatthecrossroadsintoAshbrookRoad,whichleadsintoOldHarrowRoad.Attheendoftheroadturnrightattheminiroundabout,andthenturnleftatthenextontotheA2101StHelensRoad(ThePilotFieldissignpostedatthispoint).Afterapproximatelyamileandaquarter,takethefifthturningontheleftintoStHelensParkRoad,whichleadsintoDownsRoad.Attheendoftheroad,turnleftandthegroundissituatedimmediatelyonyourright.

Pleasenotethatthereisnospectatorparkingavailablewithinthegrounditself,butthereareplentyofroadswithinclosewalkingdistancethathavenoparkingrestrictionssuchasonOchiltreeRoad(firstrightafterpassingthegroundonyourright).Itshouldtakearound45minutestodothe32-milejourney.
