People are encouraged to have their say on proposed new guidelines to better manage events at Council faclities and on community land.
The draft Event Management Policy is open for community consultation until 13 September and sets out clear guidelines for the hire of council facilities, including ovals, recreation parks and open space parks and gardens.
Under the reviewed policy, ovals will no longer be available for high impact events that could damage oval surfaces. Council staff will work with event organisers to select the most appropriate facilities for their event, which may include multiple venues for event activities.
Have your say online at ourbetterbarossa.com.au, via email to barossa@barossa.sa.gov.au or in writing.
