WHYCALORIESCOUNTForthoseofuswhoarewatchingourfigures,calorieshavebecometheenemy.It’scertainlytruethatweeattoomanyofthem.Ineachofthepast10years,theaverageAmericanatecloseto2,700caloriesperday,anincreaseof500caloriesadaysince1970,accordingtotheUSDA’sEconomicResearchService.Thatdailydifferencecanadduptoanextrapoundofbodyfateveryweek!
