DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarships for Postgraduate Studies, Eastern Africa

MASTERS DEGREE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MAY 2016 INTAKE

Taita Taveta University College (TTUC) in conjunction with the German Academic Exchange Services

(DAAD) is pleased to announce the availability of 2015/2016 DAAD funded scholarships for students who

are citizens of a country in Sub-Saharan Africa and are interested in the following programmes at TTUC.

S/No. SCHOOL COURSE REQUIREMENTS DURATION

1 School of Business, Economics and Social Sciences (SBESS)

Master of Business Administration

(Natural Resource Management option)*

Be a holder of a First Class Honours or a strong Upper Second Class Honours Bachelor’s degree in areas such as Geology, Mining Engineering, Geography, Environmental Studies, Resource Management or related disciplines

2 Academic years

2 School of Mines and Engineering (SME)

MSc. in Mining Engineering*

Be a holder of a First Class Honours or strong Upper Second Class Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Process Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any related geosciences

2 Academic years

* Please note that only these programmes/study fields are eligible for scholarships as stated in the DAAD Letter of Offer

Duration and Commencement

These Master’s degree scholarships are available for a maximum of TWO (2) YEARS. The scholarships

will initially be granted for ONE (1) YEAR and may be extended upon individual request and receipt of a

complete application made on the provided form

Application Procedure and Deadline

Applications for the above courses shall be made on the official TTUC Application Form for Registration for

Postgraduate Studies which is available from the Office of the Registrar (Academic, Research and

Outreach) or can be downloaded from the TTUC website: www.ttuc.ac.ke. Duly completed application

forms together with all required additional documents must be returned to the Registrar (ARO), P. O. BOX

635-80300 VOI; Kenya, Email: registrar-aro@ttuc.ac.ke by not later than Friday 29th January 2016 at 5:00

pm.

In addition, a complete set of Application Documents in soft copy only comprising of the application

documents required by TTUC, the duly completed DAAD Application Form together with all

documents required by the DAAD Information Sheet for Scholars, must be submitted directly to

DAAD at: applications@daadafrica.org
