The Paper Pulpit
This weekend is a very busy one. It brings summer into full bloom. First, many of our young parishioners will be celebrating graduations. For all graduates, it is an end of one aspect of their life and encountering another journey. For many, it will mean continuing your education; while for others, it will mean entering the work force. On behalf of the parish, we wish to congratulate you on your past accomplishments and pray that you will find happiness in whatever endeavor you pursue. It is a great time in your life and we wish you the blessings of God on your next step in life. Second, we celebrate Memorial Day and remember all those of our community who served and currently serve our nation in the military. We especially remember those who have offered the ultimate sacrifice in the protection of the freedoms which we cherish. As we celebrate a long weekend, let us not forget a prayer of thank you to all our deceased veterans who have served this country with honor. Because of their willingness to serve, we are able to enjoy the liberties that they fought for. Thank you all veterans for your service. Finally, we celebrate the feast of the Holy Trinity. It holds a special place that follows Pentecost. We are reminded of the importance of the Trinity in our lives. It is the hardest mystery that we celebrate in the Church. We celebrate the very essence of God in three persons. This mystery is the hardest for Catholics to comprehend. It is about our relationship with our God in the persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is a relationship that we hope to develop everyday of our life. As we enjoy the weekend of celebrations, let us not forget the center of our faith – the Eucharist. Jesus, please continue to watch over your people and give them strength to deal with the difficulties in our life’s journey.
God Bless, Deacon Vern

The Sacrament of Baptism What a joy it is to welcome a new child of God through Baptism! It is a blessing for the Church and for the world. The following children celebrated the Sacrament of Baptism last weekend:

YOUR PARISH FAMILY NEEDS YOU! The St. Bron’s Festival is a month away, planning has already started and we need YOUR help!
The Parish Festival has many great events and activities for the community to enjoy. It takes amazing volunteers like you to keep it running smoothly and make it successful year after year!
Summer is filled with ball games, work and family get togethers and since we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, we ask you to consider the festival a “family reunion” of sorts!
Bring a “dish to pass” (an item for the bake sale or other prize(s) for the Cherry Tree, Kids Games or General Store) and come hang out with the family (volunteer to work at one of the events, then stay and play).
If you can’t make it to the festival, there are jobs to be done and events to be organized ahead of time. God’s calling you to come and help us celebrate, so stop by the gathering space and sign up today! If you aren’t sure of the best way for you and your family to help out, give us a call! We enjoy planning the festival and spending time with all of you, each and every year, so plan to attend the parish festival, hang out with your parish family and volunteer to help.
Thank you and may God bless you with a summer filled with family, friends, fun and faith, all of which you can find at the Festival J! Sincerely, Jason and Jodi Moss

St. Brons Vacation Bible Camp July 16th-19th
Why volunteer? This is what youth volunteers from previous St. Bron’s VBCs said…
What would you tell someone if they asked you, “Should I volunteer to help at Vacation Bible Camp?”
· “I would tell them it is a great experience to interact with younger kids and get them closer to God.” · “They should volunteer because it was a fun experience teaching about my faith.” · “Yes, definitely. Really cool.” And many volunteers, said “… a fun, easy way to earn hours.”
Describe the highlights of your volunteer experience.
· “Getting to know lots of new people.” · “Working with other teens.” · “I really enjoyed being able to help kids make crafts and see their creativity.”

Joseph Walijewski Guild and Casa Hogar Juan Pablo II program and the national Missionary Childhood Association (MCA) office is $480.74!! Wow! Now that is awesome spirit to help others! For more information regarding this Diocesan effort - http://diolc.org/missions/.
Children's Weekly Gospel Time We have activity sheets available weekly throughout the summer months on the middle counter in the gathering space for the children. Review the Sunday gospel, do a puzzle, learn a prayer, and have fun drawing! The program for Children’s Liturgy of the Word or Gospel Time during 10:30 am Mass will resume in the fall.
Sharing the Gospel When you were baptized, the priest used the same words as Jesus in today's Gospel. He said, "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." The water of baptism is God's bath of forgiveness. Baptism washes all your sins away. Baptism makes you a forgiven child of God so that you can enter heaven's gate.
Prayer Lord, when I hurt others, teach me to say, "I am sorry. Will you forgive me?"

BronaJava Don’t miss the GRAND OPENING on Sunday, June 3rd
after 10:30 Mass in the library.
Prayers Needed We are in need of parishioners to pray for our teens who are in their final years of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Praying for others is very powerful and a great way we can show our support for each other.
In the chapel, you will find a basket with prayer petitions that our Confirmation class have written with specific intentions they are asking us to pray for. We have also listed all of our teens by name along with the saint name they have chosen. You can also take this list and pray for them as well as ask their particular saint to intercede for them as they journey toward this final Sacrament of initiation. This is a beautiful way for all of us to be together in one universal faith praying for each other! Thank you.
These teens (God willing) will be confirmed in the fall of 2019. Please continue to pray for them and their sponsors and families as they walk this journey.
