outstanding contributions, and citizenship of South High students through a process of recognition, reinforcement, and reward.

• Students and staff awards and recognitions are displayed in the main front foyer of the school.

• This is also where Renaissance Star Club members and business partners are displayed.

Pat On The Back

• The Pat On The Back Award acknowledges the accomplishments of students and staff.

• Both students and staff can give and receive the award.

Renaissance Dessert Bar!• Students who have achieved

Renaissance Status will receive a ticket which will allow admittance for one into a work of delectable goodies and prizes.

• To gain Renaissance Status students must have one of the following:

• 3.25+ G.P.A.• Perfect Attendance• 0.5+ increase in G.P.A.• 6+ O’s in Citizenship

Academics Illustrated

• A triumph these past three years, Academics Illustrated is a magazine cover mock up that is displayed throughout the school which recognizes outstanding achievements in academics.

South Star Award

• The recipients of this honor represent South’s model students who exemplify academic excellence and good citizenship.

• Each staff member may choose one student per semester.

Academic Celebration!• Held in the spring, this

motivating and upbeat assembly rewards and recognizes students and staff for academics and accomplishments.

• Presentations include business sponsored scholarships, awards for Top 10 GPA’s, Most Improved Students, Teacher of the Year, and Most Inspirational Staff Member!

• Parents: Become a Star Club Member by donating money personally or through your place of business. (This donation is tax deducible!)

RED LEVEL: $10 - $25WHITE LEVEL: $26 - $50BLUE LEVEL: $51 - $100GOLD LEVEL: Over $100

PLATINUM LEVEL: $500 or more

MELLENNIUM CLUB:Donating $100 annually for 10 years.
