About the 2017 ICTLHE

About UMT and UniSZA
Universiti Malaysia Terengganu began as Universiti Pertanian Malaysia's Centre for Fisheries and Marine Science, located at Mengabang Telipot, Kuala Terengganu. It provided facilities for both students and lecturers from the Fisheries and Marine Science programmes to conduct their practical sessions and also research.
Eventually, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science of Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM) in Serdang was transferred to Kuala Terengganu, and the Centre transformed into a branch campus, being renamed Universiti Pertanian Malaysia Terengganu (UPMT) in June 1996. The name of the faculty was also changed to the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology. Also formed were the Faculty of Science and Professional Literature and the Matriculation Centre.
Later on, the Cabinet of Malaysia had approved the establishment of Terengganu University College (KUT) on 5 May 1999 as an associate campus of UPM. Then Terengganu Universiti College was given autonomy on 1 May 2001 and was renamed the Malaysian Science and Technology University College (KUSTEM) on 20 June 2001.
On 1 February 2007, KUSTEM was given the status of a full-fledged university, and with that elevation, it was renamed again and remain to this very day as Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.

Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) takes great pride in continuing the legacy of providing excellence in education to all. Fast growing and dynamic, UniSZA offers a comprehensive array of programmes for study including language, design arts and engineering technology, Islamic studies, law, international relations and accounting, business and economics, bioresources, food technology, information technology, social sciences as well as medicine and health sciences.
The University operates four campuses, each with its own area of specialisation. The Gong Badak Campus located just north of Kuala Terengganu is the main campus for the university, accommodating over 7,000 students and housing seven faculties on over 140 hectares of land. The Medical Campus, found in the centre of Kuala Terengganu, is where the Faculty of Medicine operates. It is located directly opposite Terengganu’s largest hospital, Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah. With a seaside location, Tembila Campus has over 385 hectares of land. It currently operates two faculties, the Faculty of Bioresources and Food Industry as well as the Faculty of Informatics and Computing. Tembila is UniSZA’s newest campus and is situated in the northern part of Terengganu. The university also has a campus in Kuala Lumpur, UniSZA International Campus, designed to cater for executive programmes and graduate studies.
At the moment UniSZA has 10 faculties, each offering various levels of study from diploma to degree, and master to doctorate. In addition there are sixCentres of Excellence focusing on research and graduate studies. These centres include The Research Institute for Islamic Products and Civilization (INSPIRE), the East Coast Environmental Research Institute (ESERI), AGROPOLIS UniSZA which focuses on agriculture and food innovation, the Institute for Community Development and Quality of Life (i-CODE), ASEAN and International Research Institute (IAIS) and Darul Iman Institute (IDAMAN) . UniSZA has 46 undergraduate programmes and 25 postgraduate degrees offering hundreds of areas of specialisation.

Should you wish to confirm sponsorship, please return the completed Acceptance Form to All
Occasions Management (details listed under Sponsorship Enquires) and terms and conditions
with a Tax Invoice will be forwarded for completion and approval
On receipt of the deposit payment, a confirmation letter will be sent highlighting further
information regarding benefits, due dates, etc.

Allocation
Sponsorship and exhibition packages, which may be limited in number, will be generally allocated
to those organizations who apply earliest. Allocation of sponsorship packages and booths
regardless of the preference indicated, and alteration of the floor plan is at the discretion of the
ICTLHE (Sponsors Committee),the Conference Organizing Committee and Conference Organizer,
whose decision will be final.
Cancellation Policy
Once an Acceptance Form has been received, any cancellation must be advised in writing to
All Occasions Management. If the cancellation is received up to 3 months before the event an
administration fee of 25% of the total price is retained.
If the cancellation is received less than 3 months prior, no refund is applicable.

Detailed Requirements and Due Dates
The Conference Organizing Committee and Conference Organizer requirements regarding the
artwork for logos and advertisements, specifications and delivery details for signage,
arrangements for static display, delivery of satchel inserts or other arrangements will be sent
to you in a confirmation letter at a later date with relevant due dates.
In the event that materials, information or artwork required by the Conference Organizer are
not received by the designated due date, their use for their intended purpose cannot be
guaranteed. The value of these entitlements will not be refunded if this is the case.
Logos will be requested in PDF, .jpg and .eps format, at least high resolution 300dpi. (for AR
development, company logo and corporate video will be requested in .jpg, and .avi format)
Exceptional Circumstances
The Conference Organizing Committee and Conference Organizer reserve the right to change
the venue and duration if exceptional circumstances demand. In the event of a change of
venue and/or duration, the agreement to participate will remain in force as long as the
sponsor/exhibitor is informed at least one month before the planned conference.
The Conference Organizing Committee and Conference Organizer will use reasonable
endeavors to remedy the impact of exceptional circumstances.
GST
All amounts stipulated in this agreement include goods and services tax (GST) of 6%.
Liability / Insurance
In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, ICTLHE Committee cannot accept
responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by the delegates.
The ICTLHE Committee take no responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property
occurring during the ICTLHE 2017. All insurance, including medical cover, or expenses
incurred in the event of the cancellation of the 2017 ICTLHE is the individual delegate’s
responsibility. Attendees are encouraged to choose a travel insurance policy that includes loss
of fees/ deposits through cancellation of your participation in the 2017 ICTLHE or through the
cancellation of the 2017 ICTLHE Conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical
expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should
travel arrangements have to be altered. The ICTLHE Committee will take no responsibility for
any participant failing to insure.
The sponsor/exhibitor is responsible for all personal injury, damage to property or other
losses, liabilities or claims arising in connection with the sponsor’s/exhibitor’s participation at
the 2017 ICTLHE. The sponsor/exhibitor will indemnify the Organizers in respect of any losses,
liabilities or claims in respect thereof. The sponsor/exhibitor agrees to participate at its own
risk and to take out adequate insurance in respect of all such losses, liabilities and claims.

2017 ICTLHE Committee will take all reasonable precautions, to ensure the building is secure.
To assist us, all persons attending The 2017 ICTLHE Conference must wear the official The
2017 ICTLHE Conference name badge at all times.
Partnerships
Nothing contained in this agreement will be deemed to constitute a partnership, joint venture
or agency relationship between you and the Conference Organizers and you must not do
anything where you will, in any way, be represented that you are a partner of the Conference
Organizers.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship Proposal current as at August 2016.
Please refer to the sponsorship packages in this Proposal for outlined benefits. Any variations
to the description of each package must be as agreed in writing with the Conference
Organizer. Sponsorship entitlements will not commence until the Acceptance Form and
deposit is received by the Conference Organizer.
Trade Registrations
Trade registrants are not permitted to attend conference sessions or social functions unless
the relevant tickets are offered as part of the particular sponsorship or exhibition package.
However, should trade registrants wish to attend the conference as a delegate or attend social
functions, the appropriate registration form must be completed and forwarded to the
Conference Organizers together with the applicable registration fee.
Specific sponsor registration forms will be sent at a later date.
Venue
The sponsor and the servants, agents, contractors and invitees of the sponsor/ exhibitor are
also to observe the rules, regulations and procedures as prescribed by the ICTLHE (Sponsors
Committee).
