Sparkl, or Pentaho App Builder, is a plugin creator instrument that sits on 2 major cornerstones: Ctools and PDI, aiming to leverage as much as possible of our existing stack. Anyone familiar with those tools will be able to build plugins, facilitating adoption.

Some will be deprecated, while others may be so popular that we to include them in the product. And we need to be prepared for that. Since it's contained functionality, it's easier to test and QA. Since it's based on well controlled technologies, it's easier to support. And we'd be building a better product based out of successful use cases.

V-neckOne of the challenges we would need to face would be to embrace Ctools to the list of supported software, as it's the visual engine for both Sparkl and The Art of the Possible. We already have that challenge now.
