Tip: Use evidence that you have learned for other units. Some units are particularly useful for demonstrating inequalities, e.g. education, health and family. Knowledge acquired in Unit 4 will also be very useful here, for example the distribution of wealth and rates of poverty amongst different groups. More recent data related to the Coronavirus pandemic in the UK would provide relevant and up to date evidence of social inequalities.
Tip: Make sure that you focus on inequality and not difference in these questions. Below are some examples. Update this table with up to date evidence as it is produced, and always cite the source of your evidence. There are many other writers and sources of evidence that could be included in this table, these are just a few examples. Look for more evidence to add to the table. Some studies are useful for demonstrating more than one dimension of inequality, particularly in education.
