PC – Production Capability

Habit 1

Be Pro-active

Habit 1 – Be Proactive

Our conditioning depends on- Genetic determinism- Psychic determinism- Environmental determinism

Our choices are determined by the above 3 conditioning

Habit 1

Habit 1 says “You are the creator. You are in charge”.

It is based on imagination, conscience, independent will and self-awareness.

Pro-activity defined

- In the space between stimulus and response we are free to make a choice. We should not wait for stimuli and then respond. This is reactive behavior.

We need to be pro-active.

- Taking the initiative- It is more than that.- Proactive people do not blame circumstances, conditions or conditioning for their

behavior. The behavior is a product of their own conscious choice , based on values.

Reactive people are affected by social environment or social weather.

Theryreact to how society treats them

First there is the mental creation

Second the physical creation.

If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.

Habit 2

It is first mental creation based on imagination, the ability to envision

Begin with the end in mind

Plan, plan your moves in life

Habit 1 says you are the creator

Habit 2 is the first creation

Leadership is doing the right things. Management is doing things right.

We need to have a long term vision, a goal.

Scripting your success

Create a Personal mission statement

What do you want to achieve in your personal, professional and social lives?

Your actions will flow from your personal mission statement

“To have a quality life at home, to become a VP with the next 12 years and to increase my circle of friends to 500+”

Mission statement

To write a personal mission statement we need to start at the center of the Circle of Influence

Here we have our vision and values. We have principles and our paradigms.

At the center we have security, direction, wisdom and the capacity to act.

Mission statement

Identify roles & goals

Son/father/husband, professional/subordinate/boss, friend

Roles and goals give a organized direction to your personal mission
