Sermon notes:revolutionmpls.com/notes

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Ephesians 1:3-14

11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 1:3-14

19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Romans 1:29-20Creator and Creation

1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:1Creator and Creation

Sermon notes: revolutionmpls.com/notes

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John 1:1-3Creator and Creation

Sermon notes: revolutionmpls.com/notes

26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”27 So God created man in his own image,    in the image of God he created him;    male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:26-27Creator and Creation

Do this in remembrance of me…

Upon a Life I Have Not LivedUpon a life I have not lived,

Upon a death I did not die -

Another’s life; Another’s death -

I stake my whole eternity.

Not on the tears which I have shed,

Not on the sorrows I have known –

Another’s tears, Another’s griefs –

On these I rest, on these alone

Jesus, Son of God,

I build on what Thy cross has done for me; There both my life and death I read,

my guilt, and pardon there I see;

there I see.

Lord, I believe; O, deal with me

as one who has Thy Word received.

I take the gift. Lord, look on me

As one who has Thy gift received.

Jesus, Son of God,

I build on what Thy cross has done for me; There both my life and death I read,

my guilt, and pardon there I see;

there I see.

Upon a life I have not lived,

Upon a death I did not die –

Another’s life, Another’s death –

I stake my whole eternity.

Jesus, Son of God,

I build on what Thy cross has done for me; There both my life and death I read,

my guilt, and pardon there I see.

Rock of AgesRock of ages, cleft for me,

let me hide myself in Thee;

Let the water and the blood,

from Thy wounded side which flowed,

Be of sin the double cure;

save from wrath and make me pure.

Not the labor of my hands

can fulfill Thy laws demands;

Could my zeal no respite know,

could my tears forever flow,

All for sin could not atone;

Thou must save, and Thou alone.

Nothing in my hands I bring,

Simply to Thy cross I cling;

Naked, come to Thee for dress;

Helpless look to thee for grace;

Foul, I to the fountain fly;

Wash me, Savior or I die.

While I draw this fleeting breath,

When mine eyes shall close in death,

When, at last, I – fully known –

See Thee on Thy judgment throne,

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

Left me hide myself in Thee

Left me hide myself in Thee

Left me hide myself in Thee

Left me hide myself in Thee

Praise to the Lord, the AlmightyPraise to the Lord,

the Almighty, the King of Creation

O, my soul praise Him

for He is thy health and salvation!

All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near; Praise Him in glad adoration!

Praise to the Lord,

who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth.

Shelters thee under His wings,

Yea so gladly sustaineth.

Hast thou not seen, how Thy desires have been

Granted in what He ordaineth?

Praise Him! Praise Him!

Praise Him! Praise Him!

(2x)

Praise to the Lord,

who doth prosper thy work and defend thee.

Surely His goodness and mercy

here daily attend thee

Ponder anew what the Almighty can do

if with His love He befriend thee.

Praise Him! Praise Him!

Praise Him! Praise Him!

(2x)

Praise to the Lord,

O let all that is in me adore Him!

All that hath life and breath,

Come now with praises before Him!

Let the amen, sound from His people again!

Gladly forever adore Him.

Praise Him! Praise Him!

Praise Him! Praise Him!

All Glory Be to ChristShould nothing of our efforts stand,

No legacy survive;

Unless the Lord does raise the house,

In vain its builders strive.

To you who boast tomorrow’s gain,

Tell me, what is your life?

A mist that vanishes at dawn;

All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our King!

All glory be to Christ!

His rule and reign we’ll ever sing!

All glory be to Christ!

His will be done, His kingdom come

On earth as is above!

Who is Himself our Daily Bread.

Praise Him, the Lord of Love!

Let Living Water satisfy

the thirsty without price!

We’ll take a cup of kindness yet,

All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our King!

All glory be to Christ!

His rule and reign we’ll ever sing!

All glory be to Christ!

When, on that day, the Great I Am,

The Faithful and the True,

The Lamb who was for sinners slain

Is making all things new!

Behold our God shall live with us

And be our Steadfast Light!

And we shall ere His people be,

All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our King!

All glory be to Christ!

His rule and reign we’ll ever sing!

All glory be to Christ!
