THE PROBLEMTHE PROBLEM

• In the early childhood the children choose in which environment they belong (fill safe), the nature is not that place, anymore ....

• The average elementary school pupil has problems with walking longer distances, climbing steep rocks and trees or jumping.

• This change in their abilities is the result of over-parenting and over-protecting, television, computers, excessive homework and various in- and out-of-school activities

• Children are expanding their virtual world at the cost of the real world.

• They are going to inherit the future of the planet

THE PREMISETHE PREMISE

• 3-10. Kids are copying the elder. Like nature and animals.

• Between 11 and 21 years is the age of self-discovery, when adolescents explore their capabilities and limits, and seek a place in society. • Research on the field and direct, hands on, interaction with nature and other scientists provide a more passionate relationship with the nature and research.

• All around the world the number of field scientific training and programs for pupils are shrinking, mainly for security reasons.

THE IDEATHE IDEA

• To organize in school multidisciplinary program combining the best of the scouts experiences and on field scientific research.

• School Explorers Clubs – a network. motivating students through outdoor research activities

• Organize activities to protect a “known” (near school) nature spot.

• Develop responsibility toward a group.

• Develop working habits.

• Inclusions in the process of parents and the local community.

• Develop the self protecting habits and care for the wealth bean of the group.

• Give to the kids a reason not to “escape” in the virtual or addictions world.
