My name is Sarah Dalton I was born with CHARGE syndrome on Boxing day 1996
A nurse at hospital recognised CHARGE syndrome from my ears and coloboma 2 days after birth
From then my medical procedures started
MAIN MEDICAL OPERATIONS
Heart surgery Coarctation repair
Tracheostomy
Choanal Artresia repair
Gastrostomy , Mickey button
Ear surgery
Eye removed
I have had many minor procedures , hospital admissions and intensive care stays
Lots of therapy
Tracheostomy removed just before school
Started Cockle Bay school
Many challenges at school
Feeding tube removed at age nine
I have had some great accomplishments
The things I still have trouble with are my
Heart and circulation
Swallowing and voice
Balance
Vision
