Safety is a priority on our site. We aim to rule out any accidents with a thorough prevention policy. This safety culture requires everyone’s support. After all, you are responsible not only for your own safety, but also for that of your colleagues.

Welcome to our site. We hope your work hereis safe and successful.

A safe site

On a chemical site there are dangers and risks that you need to be able to assess in order to work safely. And strict procedures apply.

The main regulations are included in this presentation. Please also listen toyour boss, experienced colleagues or your client at all times. Ask for advice!

Anyone who works for us must work safely and is assessed accordingly. We have the right to check the work. Unsafe materials, tools and/or working methods can be banned, and unsafe work can be halted.

Instruction

This information is fully automated.

Only the alarms are announced acoustically. Please use the headphones for this.

The instructions will immediately be followed by 5 test questions.

G-permit (digging permit)PERMITS

The G-permit is necessary for all below ground activities.

6. WORKING SAFELY INSIDE INSTALLATIONS & WITH MACHINERY

Electrical machines and cablesWORKING SAFELY INSIDE INSTALLATIONS & WITH MACHINERY

Machines with damaged cables constitute a major electrocution hazard and may never be used. Electrical machines and cables need to be in perfect condition.Keep cables away from passages and stairs as much as possible. Preferably use S-hooks to hang up cables.

DemarcationsWORKING SAFELY INSIDE INSTALLATIONS & WITH MACHINERY

Newly-built platforms, holes, … need to have a solid barrier (in wood or metal).

ScaffoldingWORKING SAFELY INSIDE INSTALLATIONS & WITH MACHINERY

Scaffolds may only be used when a valid S-permit is present.

No changes (not even temporarily moving a plank) are allowed to be made by unauthorised people.

Order and cleanliness, also on scaffolds!

Fall protectionWORKING SAFELY INSIDE INSTALLATIONS & WITH MACHINERY

In case of activities at height, fall protection is necessary.

Collective protective equipment is preferred.

If this is not possible fall protection harness needs to be worn.

Wearing and securing fall protection is compulsory in cherry pickers and scissor lifts.

All workers must leave their workplace clean and tidy after finishing work. This also helps us to prevent accidents.
