By : Elene Tsikarishvili

Short summary Hermann Rorschach What is the Rorschach test? Personal experience and where to find

it.

Hermann Rorschach

Swiss Freudian psychiatrist and psychoanalyst.

Born on 8 November 1884 Zurich Switzerland.

Died on 1 April 1922 Herisau, Switzerland.

What is the Rorschach Test? A Rorschach test is a test involving 10cards. Each of the cards has symmetrical inkblot

covering as much of the card space as possible.

The subject who is tested is told to look at card and describe immediately what he/she sees or feels.

It’s designed to reveal traits about the person taking the test and more about their thinking and their personality.

How person is tested ? The tester and subject typically sit next

to each other at a table, with the tester slightly behind the subject.

There are ten official inkblots, each printed on a separate white card.

Five inkblots are of black ink, two are of black and red ink and three are multicolored, on a white background.

Roscharch test cards.

Testing process

Good and bad responses Bad response would be saying something

like : ‘’ This is a…’’ This would be considered as an unhealthy response.

A good response would be something like : ‘’ This looks like a…’’ because you should be smart enough to know that blots don’t represent anything.

Saying that it’s just an ink blot is considered as a bad response.

Is it accurate?

I might be 71% psycho !!!

Thank you !!! Any questions?
