Roll On/Roll Off Concept Overview

– Rapid reconfiguration to improve aircraft utilization

– Facilitate shared access to limited or specialized mission systems

– Force Multiplier – dedicated mission aircraft not required

– Self-contained capability not dependant on aircraft version (basic C-130E/H/J or KC/MC/HC capable - Short Body or Stretch)

Roll On/Roll Off Concept Overview (cont’d)

– Easily transferable between C-130 aircraft – Not basic aircraft crew dependent – independent

mission system operation from aircraft operations – May allow simultaneous multi-mission capability

(Special Mission operations during normal transport/refueling operations)

– The C-130’s unique design and capacity allows easy reconfiguration utilizing Roll On/Roll Off systems to make the C-130 the most versatile Special Mission aircraft in the world
