It’s Good to be Green!
Stay on Green certificates were awarded to: Henry Hibbard, Ollie-Ray Thurlow, Adam Gage, Toby Sykes, Dylan Pruden,
Destiny Ricketts, Ollie Drury, Hollie Harris, Alfie Holloway, Kaci Holloway, Maeve Dillon, Rowan Miller, Tia Weeks and
Samuel Wright.
Best Behaved Classes of the Week: Well done to all the children in Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue for staying on green
all week.
Just a reminder that our amazing Year 6 children will be taking their SATs next week. Please
support us in ensuring your child has 100% attendance across the week and arrives at school
promptly. There will be breakfast snacks and juice available from 8:45 to 9:10 across the week.
Please be assured that your child has been well prepared in school. They have experienced past
papers and revised key curriculum areas to give them confidence. We keep reminding them how
well they are doing and how proud they make us feel. Help your child to put the assessment week
into perspective. Whilst we all want them to do well, we want them to be reassured that life goes on
as normal. A huge thanks to all the parents who have supported their child and the school over the
past year and I’m sure you will all join me in wishing our children the very best of luck!

8 x Times Tables Tip!
Have a look at these timesavers.
The numbers in the 8 × table are always even. This means they can be divided by 2 without remainder. If it’s an odd number then it is not in
the 8 × table!
Have a look at the 8 × table again. The unit digits have a regular pattern - they go down in 2s.
1 x 8 = 8 2 x 8 = 16 3 x 8 = 24 4 x 8 = 32 5 x 8 = 40 6 x 8 = 48 7 x 8 = 56 8 x 8 = 64

Parent Governor Nomination
Following the recent nomination
process for a new Parent Governor,
one nomination only was received, from
Mr Martin Ovenden, who has one child
in Sunshine Nursery and another in
Red Class. Mr Ovenden has
therefore been appointed without the
need for an election, with effect from
15 April 2018 until 15 April 2022.
Congratulations to our lovely Rainbow
Class children for a wonderfully
ambitious class assembly. ‘There’s A
Sunflower In My Supper’ was a real
treat to watch. What a talented bunch
of children we have! Thank you to all
our families for attending and a huge
shout out to our PTA for the tea and
coffee beforehand.
