The purpose of this correspondence is to communicate that the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) at the University of Vermont (UVM) will report to a new branch of executive management (see attached organizational charts) Currently the reporting structure of the RSO is under the Vice President for Research As of July 12012 the RSO will report to the Director of the Department of Risk Management and Safety The Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) will remain under the authorization and authority of the Vice President for Research

The RSO for the licenses will continue to be Keddy G Bharathan No changes are planned in regards to the use operation office staffing and management of UVM s NRC materials licenses
