To Whom It May Concern: The purpose of this correspondence is to communicate that the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) at the University of Vermont (UVM) will report to a new branch of executive management (see attached organizational charts). Currently, the reporting structure of the RSO is under the Vice President for Research. As of July 1,2012 the RSO will report to the Director of the Department of Risk Management and Safety. The Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) will remain under the authorization and authority of the Vice President for Research. The RSO for the licenses will continue to be Keddy G. Bharathan. No changes are planned in regards to the use, operation, office staffing and management of UVM' s NRC materials licenses. Please call me if you have any questions or if further information is needed.
