its transition to a market-based system since the early 1990s.

• After years of flat or negative growth rates, economic growth took off in 2004 (10.6%) and is expected to stabilize at between 5 to 6% per year for the next few years. The bulk of this growth comes from the mining and agriculture.

1970. Patent & Trademark Bureau cooperates with around 100 law firms from 20 countries.

Patent & Trademark Bureau• MNCCI established Patent & Trademark Bureau in 1970.• Patent & Trademark Bureau cooperates with around 100 law firms of

20 countries. • Annually Patent and Trademark Bureau deal with over 200

trademarks, 60 patents and 25 industrial design and utility model certificates in average.

• Bureau operates Franchising Council within the Chamber. • We offer 30% discounted service fee for members.• Main functions: Bureau deals with industrial property rights issues

such as registering, filing and prosecuting of applications for patents, trademarks, geographical indications and industrial designs, renewal and assignment thereof, records of ownership changes and licenses as well as their litigation. We provide legal advice to domestic and foreign customers and clients, while handling with international registration of trademarks.

capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises for Intellectual Property management” jointly by WIPO, KIPO and KIPA

• In Jeju Island (Republic of Korea) on December 13 and 14, 2007 • MNCCI delegation participated and delivered presentation

Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry developed and approved a long- and short-term development plan aimed promoting protection of intellectual properties: National Intellectual Property Action Plan
