1.0 INTRODUCTION
The concept of brotherhood and community relations, particularly
the emphasis is on creating a community of harmonious and prosperous
society. In addition, undergraduates must interact and communicate with
people outside the community so as to avoid any problems between
educational institutions and community institutions.
The nature of empathy, concern and responsibility must also be
shown by undergraduates in order to develop a strong and close-knit
brotherhood, thus helping to generate strong self-esteem development in
the individual's own characteristics, accompanied by disciplined,motivated and high integrity.
Thus, consistent with the concept that has been described , the
students of Foundation of Accounting ' Fast-Track ' Trimester 1 2013/2014
Universiti Tenaga Nasional ( UNITEN ) held a program Titian Mahabbah
MALAYSIA- PALEMBANG , accompanied by students of Foundation of
Accounting ' Fast-Track ' by visiting the University of Srivijaya , Palembang
. This visit gave the students exposure to the learning environment and
atmosphere there. With hopes of burning and that full of inspiring the
student to continue to fight and achieve success.
The program is expected to help selected students to be more civic
leadership and competent. In addition, they can train students strengthen
fraternal ties that have been established in addition to fostering a sense of
identity undergraduates although different countries and cultures. But it
also will be able to generate physical and mental endurance students face
challenges and competition in the world today and forging strong links
between Malaysia and Palembang.

2.0 OBJECTIVES
• To foster brotherhood and good relations between Malaysia and
Palembang undergraduates.
• Cultivating caring and sensitive nature of the problems faced by rural
communities thereby motivate them.
• To train students to be able to communicate either extrovert or introvert
with rural communities and as a leader.

4.0 REPORTING PROGRAM
1. UKHWAH FILLAH among undergraduates
UKHWAH FILLAH among undergraduates was conducted on 7
September 2013, Saturday with Sriwijaya University (UNSRI), Palembang.
We chose to look at the learning environment at the Faculty of Economics
because here they are offering the field of accounting which it is closely
related to our field, Foundation in Accounting.
Our visit was warmly welcomed by representatives of the University
of Sriwijaya, En . Mukhtaruddin as Secretary of the Department of
Accounting, Faculty of Economics, University of Sriwijaya. En.
Mukhtaruddin have explained a bit about the history of UNSRI and also the
history of the relationship between Palembang and Melaka. We are also
treated to the foods that were unfamiliar to citizens of Malaysia which is
pempek. According to Mr. Mukhtaruddin, the key ingredient needed to
make pempek is common mackerel cornstarch.

Next, we were taken for a tour around the campus in UNSRI, which
are classes, libraries, lecturers’ hall and more. This visit will provideexposure to UNITEN undergraduates to learn about the culture performed
by them. In addition, these activities provide exposure and training
undergraduates to communicate with each other even if different races
and nations.
2. FRIENDLY WITH THE ORPHAN
Griya Yatim dan Dhuafa (GYD) in Palembang has become our
targets for this activity. This activity was held on the 9th September 2013,
Monday.
Our arrival was warmly welcomed by the GYD. Mr. Tarjuni
(Manager), as representative of GYD, he has given a strong commitment
in this activity. Strong commitment together also welcome us. GYD has 19
branches in Indonesia and one of them is GYD Palembang. GYD
Palembang has eight orphans and six aides.
Among the activities that have been carried out is singing that can
increase self-motivation, team training, knowledge-based games,
Intensive English Programme, praying and preparing Malaysia’s food and
celebrating it with them.
Sahabat’s song by Padi has become the theme song during theprogram. To boost morale and motivate of the kids there, we sang
together Semangat Berkibar that has been converted into Indonesian
version. Originally, the song is titled Waving Flag. Next, we sing a song by
Shoutul Harokah, Bingkai Kehidupan with the children as a reflection of
themselves during their stay in this God's earth.
Intensive English Programme has been implemented in a number of
activities. Among them is the ' Hot Seat ‘, in which children had to guessthe animal style, occupation, cartoons and more. To enhance the use of

English in their daily lives, these activities were conducted in English. In
addition, the activity of 'A Picture Says Thousand Words ' has elicited
talent in the field of children's drawings and implicit meanings behind the
paintings that have been painted.
Next, our program continues with games that test your mind and
require a high focus. Among these is a game of ' Peace' and ' Ping Pong
Peng ‘. There are some children who are able to play by their own
strategy. Finally, the activities carried out with them is ' Body Twister ‘.
This game requires physical strength to face challenges in continuing the
game.
In addition, the mid-day meal, afternoon and evening was provided
by our own party with the help from Mrs. Mohamat Nor Azlina Bt, Ms Nur
Hidayah Bt Sampol and Mr. Sidek Mohd Haniff Bin who faithful help us to
execute this program. We chose to provide them with Malaysian food. All
the planning was successfully conducted with the cooperation of the
smooth undergraduates UNITEN and also the Griya Orphans and Dhuafa .
3. GRANT DONATION to orphans
To help ease the burden of orphans and Dhuafa Griya, we collected
donations and donate as much as 1.5 million rupiah to the GYD.
The money was distributed as a hundred thousand rupiah and therest were given to the nanny of GYD to buy essential items daily. Celi,
Diki, Tiko, Halim , Febri , Amri , Haris , and Maisa is GYD kids and they
offer a sense of gratitude and also happy to accept the donations.
4. VISIT AROUND PALEMBANG
Alang-alang menyeluk pekasam, biar sampai ke pangkal lengan’, wehave implemented this principle while we are in Palembang. Although our

primary purpose is to engage in Palembang service society’s activities,
but visiting around Palembang is one in a life time. We also visited places
of interest around Palembang.
Among the places we visited was Monpera, Ampera Bridge, the
Great Sultan Baharuddin II Museum, Fort Kuto Besak, Palembang Grand
Mosque , and Museum Balaputra Gods. In addition, we also went shopping
to buy gifts from Palembang to family members, relatives, the lecturers
who have taught us and do not forget also to Mr. Mohd Ariff Bin Ahmad
Tarmizi , as the patron of Titian program Mahabbah - Palembang Malaysia
who cannot be together because of health problems.
5.0 CONCLUSION
Values such as teamwork, mutual trust, confidence, and tolerance in
the course of their duties as well as attributes such as trust, respect, and
love- love will be nurtured and effectively applied by the enforcement
activities of which have conducted in such a program. In addition, avariety of skills such as time management, communication, appearance
and so on can be nurtured so that it can help the development potential of
the participants to realize the goals of the university, the state and their
ambitions. In addition, these programs can train students to be more
involved in community projects in the future. Thus the nature of
leadership and personal skills to install accurate in the students.
Consequently it is suggested that such programs can be organizedagain in the future. Closer cooperation and understanding between them
will be able to realize the objectives of each program with minimal cost.
Hopefully Bridging Program - Palembang Mahabbah Malaysia will help the
participants to realize their ambitions, the university and the national goal
to achieve excellence in all areas.
