He was patriotic andWanted a true paradise, For his people, Or maybe because heCouldn’t make the ends meetOr maybe, The idea seemed like a good one On that day. But does it matter?He went to the warSacrificed his life, For his motherland. Came back homeIn a sealed casket. People ask endlessly, Who, How, Where…He was someone’s son, Husband or father or both. Grandson, Nephew, Cousin or FriendLoved by them allMissed by them all. Having given his lifeTo all of us. Isn’t that enough,To standby his family,To honour him, And to remember him?
