Our foundry operations started as “CompañíaFundidora Raleigh”.

Production of counterweights for forklift trucksstarted for the domestic market with customerssuch as Allis Chalmers, Clark and Eaton.

Induction furnaces replaced the cupola furnacesfor melting, hereby reducing emissions andincreasing energy efficiency.

Start of mass production of counterweights forexport to USA.

The company changes its name to Smeltek.

As part of our quality controls we are use a 3D scanner which has the capability of capturing the full tridimensional geometryof any part.

Process advantages are huge comparedto other measuring systems, visual representation within the report and references covering thousands of pointsinstead of only few dimensions, fastoperation therefore reduction of time to get a complete dimensional report.

We work alongside with the University of Alabama, who are forerunners in lost foam casting research and development.

At present we are the only company world-wide who has pouredkeels in lost foam.

We have successfully poured pieces up to 20T utilizing thisprocess. We can run various fill simulations of pouring to ensurecasting soundness.
