Hi Fellow Members;

Starting in October we are beginning our fun fallcalendar! On October 1st, we will be celebratingOktoberfest at the Historic 5th Street School with the Cityof Las Vegas. This is always a wonderful event and will beopen from 3 PM to 9 PM Thanks to all of our volunteers. Ithink we'll have a record turnout.

On Sat, October 8th, we are having another Irish Nightwith Seamus & Seamus performing some great Irishtunes.

On October 15th and 16th, Oktoberfest will be at our Club!We have a weekend of great fun planned, startingSaturday from 3 PM to 10 PM, the Ginger Snaps will beperforming German music and we'll have lots of Germanfood, beer and games. Sunday the 16th, we'll be openfrom 1 PM to 5 PM with German Accordion music, food,and beer.

On October 22nd Silvia will be back in the kitchenpreparing her wonderful Rahmschnitzel!

Let's all turnout for these wonderful Octobercelebrations!

On a sad note,the passing of Neal Griffith and Don Longhave left us feeling like we have been kicked in the gut.The Club and our Members send our condolences toRenata Griffith, Beverly Long, and their families.

Don't forget to sign up for the Laughlin golf outing onNovember 4th and 5th and don't forget to bring yourmembership cards to be stamped on Sat nights for thedinner club.

Golf NewsThere is a sign-up sheet at the Club for golfers and non-golfers for the Laughlin Golf Tournament.

It is $40 for golfers and $25 for non-golfers so please sign-up for a fun weekend.

George and I would like to have all golfers signed upASAP. We can then start picking the team captains andteams. Please sign up early and do not forget to reserveyour Room at the Avi. Happy golfing!

Friday NightsThe club is open on most Fridays (see calendar)at 5:30PM. Card players engage in several different card games.Members and guests are welcome to come down andplay cards, have a drink and socialize. Chess, boardgames, and small meetings are welcome as space allows.Friday is Potluck night, so don't forget to bring a dish toshare if you are participating.
