Fall

•Fall lasts from about September 23rd to the end of November.

•Also referred to as Autumn, leaves change color and begin to fall. The weather becomes colder.

Halloween is on October 31st. Time to dress up!

Thanksgiving is on the last Thursday of every November. Gobble-gobble!

Winter

Winter lasts from the beginning of December through the end of February.

Winter is marked by the bitter wind and snow. Ice and hail also accompany the beginning of this chilly season.

Christmas is celebrated on December 25th throughout America.

New Year’s is the celebration of the new year. This takes place on January 1st.

Valentine’s Day takes place on February 14th and gives people the chance to show their love to each other.

Spring

Spring begins on March 21 and lasts until the end of May.

“April showers bring May flowers…”Spring is known for its wet, cool weather.

St. Patrick’s Day takes place on March 17th. If you don’t wear green, you’ll get pinched!

Easter takes place on the first Sunday after the first full moon. Many children look forward to this holiday for the Easter egg hunt!

Summer

Summer spans the length of June, July, and August.

Summer marks the return of warm weather. This time of the year is sunny and there’s no school!

The 4th of July, or Independence Day, is celebrated in the summer. This holiday commemorates the birth of our country.
