The Past Continuous is a verb tense describes actions that were being made at a time of the year to which it refers and then continued, for example:

Yesterday I was studying Inglés. Yesterday he was studying English

The Past Continuous is constructed

with the auxiliary verb "to be" in its past and the main verb in the infinitive with ING termination:
