Creating Landscapes

ASIA-- Along the Karakorum Highway, linking Pakistan and China, you cross the Hunza valley. Situated in the north of Pakistan, this valley winds between high peaks, almost 7000 meters high, like

the Rakaposhi or the Golden Peak. The Hunza valley is famous for its production of dried apricots, and for the

incredible longevity of its inhabitants.

Mount Everest, TibetThere is no need to present Mount Everest, the roof of the world.

With an altitude of 8848 meters, mount Everest is situated at the border between China and Nepal.The tibetan name of the mountain is Chomolangma, which means Goddess Mother of the Universe.

In Nepali, it is named Sagarmantha. The name Everest comes from the name of the head of thetrigonometrical survey who determined the altitude of the summit in 1849.

Mount Everest was first climbed in 1953 by Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay.

Africa --The rocky outcrop called Kubu Island is situated on the Makgadikgadi Pans of Botswana, and is accessible from the south via Lethlakane or from the Nata to Maun road in the north.

Cloud formations in this part of the country can be really stunning, especially during wintertime. The yellow canola field added the necessary colour.
