Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant, ODVCE Intern, with supervision, is responsible for providing efficient and effective support to the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education), across a range of general office administration functions. The position operates within a team framework and is expected to provide administrative support to the team and as required to the Manager, Planning & Operations.
Task and Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Manager, Planning & Operations and the ODVCE team;
Assist in developing appropriate documentation for the delivery of office activity;
Audit and replenish materials in shared facilities;
Assist with the maintenance of office records, rosters and registers;
Provide support in meetings to include meeting room bookings and room preparation, agenda setting and minute taking;
Assist with the coordination of focus area projects and events;
• Be an active member of the ODVCE team by effectively supporting and contributing to continuous improvement;
Undertake other duties as required and as appropriate to the level and nature of the position.

Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to provide administrative support.
Ability to plan and prioritise work and complete tasks within assigned timelines.
Developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work co-operatively as a member of a team and effectively communicate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds at all levels of an organisation.
Excellent computer literacy in standard Office software, including accurate word processing, competent use of spreadsheets, email and calendar applications.
Solid written communication skills with experience in preparation of reports and correspondence.
