Titus 1:16

(16) They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable

and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.

Titus 2:7

(7) in all things show yourself to be an example of good

deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified,

Titus 2:14

(14) who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every

lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for

His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

Titus 3:14

[14] Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds

to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.

Titus 3:1-3

[1] Remind them to be subject to rulers, to

authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed,

Titus 3:1-3

[2] to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle,

showing every consideration for all men.

Titus 3:1-3

[3] For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending

our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

Passing It On

One of the sad realities of sin: hurt people hurt people.

Genesis 4:23-24

[23]  Lamech said to his wives,

“Adah and Zillah, Listen to my voice, You wives of Lamech,

Give heed to my speech, For I have killed a man for

wounding me; And a boy for striking me;

Genesis 4:23-24

[24] If Cain is avenged sevenfold,

Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.”

Genesis 6:11-12

[11]  Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the

earth was filled with violence. [12] God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for

all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

Passing It On

One of the good realities of life: kindness is contagious!

Leading the Change

1) Kindness begins with God.

Titus 3:4-7

[4] But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love

for mankind appeared,

Titus 3:4-7

[5] He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have

done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

Titus 3:4-7

[6] whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ

our Savior, [7] so that being justified by His grace we

would be made heirs according to the hope

of eternal life.

Leading the Change

2) Passages about the next step:

John 13:14-15

[14] “If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one

another's feet.

John 13:14-15

[15] “For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.

1 Peter 3:8-9

[8]  To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and

humble in spirit;

1 Peter 3:8-9

[9] not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving

a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might

inherit a blessing.

Leading the Change

3) Our kindness encourages the world.

Titus 3:8[8] This is a trustworthy

statement; and concerning these things I want you to

speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be

careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good

and profitable for men.

Matthew 5:16

[16] “Let your light shine before men in such a way that

they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:17

[17] Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things

have come.

James 5:16

[16] Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you

may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can

accomplish much.
