Handwriting Without Tears

We have a new handwriting program this year! Check it out at hwtears.com!

Handwriting Without Tears

Handwriting Without Tears is a proven success in making legible and fluent handwriting an easy and automatic skill for all students.

This program is a multisensory program designed to make handwriting fun because it teaches the easiest style, it includes fun strategies, and the student workbook is simple and straight forward!

A Lesson Example

Magic c is an important letter! Many of the letters are formed by

making the letter c first. For example, c, a, d, and g begin by

forming a c, which I will model now.

Here is your chance to SHINE as a writer. Submit your writing to the principals by the due date (in a box in the office), and you’ll have a chance to win a prize. The topics will be posted each month along with a due date. A winner from each grade level will be chosen and the piece of writing will be posted on the Strawberry Park web page and in the office. Our District Writing Assessment rubric will be used to score papers, including the grade level expectations for conventions.

We can’t wait to read all of the amazing writing from our Strawberry Park Elementary writers!

September topic: We just started a new school year at SPE. Tell us about the

beginning to your new school year. Be sure to include lots of description and details. Your job is to make your writing as interesting for your reader as it was for you when it happened.
