Spirit Week by Samantha Fuhrmann-Blyth, Middle SAC Coordinator
Our first Spirit Week was a success. Our students came out and
participated in our daily activities and showed their school spir-
it. We wanted to give a big shout out to our Student Government
and Class Officers for planning a very fun and exciting week. Stu-
dents played tic tac toe relay race and made each oth-
ers hair. There were so many laughs shared amongst our students
and staff. Our next spirit week is scheduled for December 16th-
20th.

Welcome back to cold and flu season. Here
are some easy tips for keeping you, your fami-
ly and your community healthy!
Reduce the spread of germs!
Hand washing is the number one way to reduce the chances of
getting sick or passing on germs. Wash often for 15-20 seconds
with soap and water, or with hand sanitizer. Keep a vial of
hand sanitizer in the car. Keep your hands away from your face.
The easiest access for germs into your body is through your
eyes, nose and mouth.
Take care of yourself if you do get sick and try these tips.
Bring On The Heat – hot drinks sooth coughs and sore
throats and clear mucus temporarily.
Get Steamed Up - warm steamy showers helps stuffy and
irritated noses.
Practice Healthy Habits – eat a balanced diet, get enough
good sleep, do light exercise.
Blow Your Horn – blow your nose to get rid of mucous
(then wash your hands).
Rest – your body’s immune system is working hard so you
need to rest.
Fever – stay home, don’t have children come to school,
don’t go to work.
